Stoughton's PureBlue Refrigerated Trailer Takes Spotlight in Trailer/Body Builders Magazine's March Issue

March 06, 2018

A behind-the-scenes look at Stoughton Trailers' new PureBlue refrigerated trailer is the focus of a March article in Trailer/Body Builders magazine. The article is titled "Stoughton Launches PureBlue production: Details the key to new reefer design, manufacturing process."

In February, reporter Kevin Jones visited the Evansville, Wis. production facility where employees build PureBlue trailers. The story also includes a slideshow of the fabrication and assembly process.

Adding PureBlue to the lineup of trailers allowed the company to complete its product offering, which brings more value and sales opportunities to the Stoughton dealer network, said Marketing Manager Ron Jake. The trailer itself contains no wood to prevent rot and instead utilizes lightweight, thermally efficient composite material for the floor support structure, rear doors and front wall, said Director of Engineering Todd Eicher. And similar to Stoughton's dry van trailers, a rear underride guard comes standard on PureBlue for maximum safety on the road.
