Wahlin Foundation Funds Purchase of 3 New Welders for Stoughton High School

February 19, 2018

The Wahlin Foundation Inc., on behalf of Stoughton Trailers, recently approved a $5,000 grant to the Stoughton High School Technology Education program for the purchase of three new welders.

The new welding machines will replace equipment from the 1960s, said Wahlin Foundation Executive Director Betsy McClimon.

Technology Education students Cameron Barrett, Caroline Mancl and James Swenson helped test out the equipment in the lab under the direction of Technology Education teacher Brad Seehafer. View photos below.

Each year, the foundation considers opportunities to invest in the communities of Stoughton, Evansville and Brodhead — all places that are home to Stoughton Trailers production facilities.
