Our Facilities

Located in Stoughton, Wisconsin, our company started as a small family-owned business in 1961 and is now one of the industry’s leading manufacturers of dry van trailers and intermodal container chassis.  We also offer refrigerated van trailers and grain trailers. We have 9 different facilities in the South-Central Wisconsin cities of Stoughton, Evansville and Brodhead. In 2022, We opened a new manufacturing plant in Waco, Texas to manufacture intermodal chassis products. In total we have over 1.5 million square feet of manufacturing space under roof.

All of our facilities have incorporated vertical integration wherever possible to enhance the entire manufacturing operation, providing us with the opportunity to optimize our quality assurance procedures and improve component inventory control.

The 680,000 sq. ft. Stoughton plant houses all of the component manufacturing operations for the sub-assemblies of the trailers and chassis; including rear door frames, ladder assemblies and couplers. The Stoughton plant supplies these components to the other manufacturing facilities. The Stoughton manufacturing plant has 3 production lines for the assembly of dry van and chassis products.

The Stoughton Trailers facility in Evansville, WI has over 300,000 square feet of manufacturing space for building refrigerated trailers and intermodal chassis.

Opened in 1994, our Brodhead, WI manufacturing facility has 250,000 square feet of space for manufacturing dry van semi-trailers.

The 45,000 sq. ft. Stoughton Parts facility is dedicated to supporting our network of Stoughton Trailers dealers, independent repair shops and fleet customers throughout North America.
